These terms describe how I work with clients and how this site may be used. If you have any questions, please contact me before starting a project.
A diagnostic fee of $49 (Computers) or $35 (Phones) is due upon completion of the diagnostic. Before any work begins, you'll sign a waiver giving permission to diagnose your device. This fee is waived (credited toward the final bill) if you proceed with the recommended repair service.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to begin work on all video editing and web design projects over $200. The remaining balance is due upon project delivery.
Payment is due in full upon completion of the service or device pickup. Payments are processed through Square.
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a consultation or repair session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of $25.
If a creative project is cancelled by the client after work has begun, the deposit acts as a kill fee to cover the time invested.
If you miss a scheduled appointment without notice, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and a cancellation fee may apply. Repeated no-shows may result in requiring prepayment for future appointments.
While every precaution is taken to ensure data safety, the client is responsible for backing up all data (photos, documents, etc.) prior to any repair or tech support service. Kyle Slingo is not liable for data loss that occurs during hardware repairs or software updates.
Your privacy is paramount. Any personal data or files accessed during a repair or screen-share session are treated as strictly confidential and will never be shared, copied, or stored.
If you share login credentials for a repair or setup, I recommend using temporary passwords or changing your password after work is complete. I will never retain or reuse your credentials.
Video editing and web design packages include two (2) rounds of revisions at no extra cost. Additional revisions or major scope changes after the project has started will be billed at $50/hr.
Please submit all revision requests in a single, consolidated list rather than multiple separate messages. This helps ensure nothing gets missed and keeps the process efficient.
Once you approve the final deliverable, the project is considered complete. Any changes requested after final approval will be treated as a new project or billed at the hourly rate.
Projects and services offered through this site are provided by Kyle Slingo as an independent creator and technician, not as a large company.
Before work begins, we'll agree on the scope, timeline, and pricing in writing (usually by email). Any changes to the scope may affect cost and timing, and will be discussed and agreed before I continue.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you'll have the right to use finished work for your personal or business purposes. I may showcase non-sensitive parts of projects in my portfolio or marketing, but will never share private information without permission.
My total liability for any project is limited to the fees you've paid me for that specific work. I'm not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages such as lost profits, data loss, or business interruption.
Projects may involve third-party tools, platforms, or services (like hosting providers, APIs, or software). I'm not responsible for outages, changes, or issues caused by these external services.
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version posted here applies to new projects and inquiries. If you're in the middle of a project, I'll honor the terms we agreed when we started.
